A monthly carers support group that is open to all carers and families of people living with dementia

Alzheimer Scotland has been working closely with the Australian Childhood Dementia Initiative to develop our understanding of why some younger people develop Childhood Dementia.

Epilepsy Scotland is visiting the Inverness Brain Health and Dementia Resource Centre with their information stall, providing a great opportunity to meet them, ask questions, and pick up some leaflets.

Eyemouth What Matters Hub 
First Tuesday of every month from 12pm-2pm at Eyemouth Community Centre.

Kelso What Matters Hub 

First Wednesday of every month from 10am-12.30pm at Mayfield Garden Centre, Kelso

Our Annual Conference will be held on Friday 20 September at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre. Free tickets are available for people with dementia and their carers.

Martin Robertson was diagnosed with a rare form of dementia, Posterior Cortical Atrophy, in 2016 aged 57. Since then, he has engaged heavily with the research field, seeing it as the route to a cure for this disease. 

11 year old Ruaridh has raised over £2,690 for Alzheimer Scotland by running just over a mile every hour until he reaches the distance of 26.2 miles (the same as a full marathon).

Following a range of dementia-friendly concerts in 2023, we are delighted to announce Scottish Chamber Orchestra will be hosting another Tea Dance Concert (Stirling) in partnership with Alzheimer Scotland.
